Leveraging this country’s diversity becomes imperative while achieving creative collaborations on a global scale. It is more so when it comes to collating and managing filmic resources on ground, available within the country. This is where a structured body like the Film Facilitation Office (FFO) comes in. The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, set up the FFO with a view to promote and facilitate film shootings by foreign and domestic filmmakers in India. It acts as a single-window facilitation and clearance mechanism that eases filming in India, as well as endeavouring to create a film-friendly ecosystem and promoting the country as a filming destination. As the mandate of the organisation has increased from just Facilitation to Promotion and administering of the Filming incentives scheme, the FFO is now rebranded to the India Cine Hub. The India Cine Hub (ICH) invites film producers and production companies from across the world to shoot their Feature Films, TV/Web shows and series & Reality TV/Web shows and series in India, a country with locations of untold beauty.
