The Visit Syracuse Film Office is the entertainment industry’s point of contact in the Central NY region for productions of all sizes. From commercials to feature films, we are here to facilitate between the project, the community, our municipalities and the local film and TV infrastructure. Our office is available to assist with tax incentives, locations, crew and vendors, equipment and vehicle rentals, permitting, interns, accommodations, marketing and press.
Along with our office’s localized, hands on approach to working with production companies and their needs, we offer very aggressive tax incentives on qualified costs through the NYS Governor’s Office of Motion Picture & Television Development and through The Innovation Group of CNY: approximately 40% on production, 45% on post-production and an additional 20% on both locally.
We also know that the cast, crew and their families need to stay happy and entertained during any days off while in town, which is why work closely with local restaurants, bars, museums, attractions, sporting events and concert venues to make sure we show you the Syracuse that we as locals have grown to love.
