Wrocław Film Commission works on promoting the film potential of the region of Wrocław and Lower Silesia in Poland. We operate within the structure of the Lower Silesia Film Centre – regional public film institution – and our aim is to encourage filmmakers to shoot their films in Lower Silesia. We offer unique film locations, support with contact with the local administration and film industry and also provide information support about production’s financing in Poland and our region.
We also operate Lower Silesia Film Fund which is aimed at selecting film projects, which will receive financial support from Lower Silesia Film Centre being the co-producer of the films. The key selection criterion a film needs to fulfil in order to receive the support is for its production to be linked to the Lower Silesia region through its topic, filming locations and by engaging artists and entities from Lower Silesia. The Lower Silesia Film Fund is announced usually in the first quarter of each year.
