Nominations for the AFCI Board of Directors close next week. There are five seats up for re-election. Members interested in serving must complete the nomination application by Friday, October 24. The application is available on the AFCI Community website.
The AFCI Board of Directors is composed of representatives from film commissions around the world, bringing experience, insight, and regional perspective to guide our strategic direction and operations.

Who Should Apply?
Film commissioners or office directors from an AFCI Film Commission member office in good standing.
Per the By-laws, AFCI Film Commission members may serve a maximum of five (5) consecutive two-year terms on the Board.

November 24: Newly elected board members notified

Ideal Qualifications & Experience
We encourage nominations from film commissioners prepared to contribute actively to the growth of our organization and to advancing its role as a truly global association. We seek a wide range of viewpoints, backgrounds, perspectives, and regional representation.
Role Requirements
Directors should plan to attend 10 –12 monthly board meetings each year, including in-person and virtual sessions.
Commitment to a two-year term and familiarity with AFCI By-laws
Representation of AFCI at regional conferences and activities
Leadership and active participation in AFCI committees and initiatives
Support of AFCI events and programs, including recommending sponsors, partners, speakers, and encouraging regional engagement.
